A true story about a trip I took to Montreal during the student protests in the summer of 2012. I ended up being right in the middle of the historic "Night 99". Opps! Ouch!

I went to Montreal
and the sun was shining every day
The open liquor laws didn't seem to apply on the trains
Downtown, patios, shows, cheap beer, and poutine
Being a bike messenger isn't all it's cracked up to be

In Montreal, the students began to complain
100,000 strong, in the streets, oh man it was insane!
The cops barricaded the street of the bar where we decided to go
They broke my friend Mike's arm right before he had to play a show
That's when the tear gas grenades went off on the patio
Pepperspray in the eyes, of the girls in the front row

Yeah in Montreal, one night you might meat Tesco Vie
and then the next night comes and you're getting beat up by police
Just wash some more speed down with an Old Mill that you got for free
Yeah, in Montreal, the old Fattal's the life for me
